FINISHED: Apple

Alright this is one of the most difficult assignments i've had to do in this class. I was  struggling with this the entire time and am entirely not happy with the final result. But I give up on this, I cant go any further.

Wallpaper 7

I spent today trying to come up with the seventh wallpaper. I did mess up on the high lights with this one but I am still happy with the final result of this. PLUS! Its not purple this time.

FINISHED: Painted Texture copy

Okay, so today was our last day that we had to work on the texture copy. This has to be the most difficult assignment by far. Yes getting the colors are extremely simple since you just use the tool that copies the color. But then you have to arrange the base colors into the shapes and the places where they go in the square. Then you have to blend them together. Then go through and do the yellow and red speckling (getting the correct brush for that is a task all its own) Then finally you have to make sure you have all the little extra bits that are just out there at least  similar to how they are in the original image. I put all my effort into this but this is as far I was able to get copying it.

Texture Copy Day: 1

So last class when i was gone Mr. Cornell assigned us a texture assignment. He gave us an image that was a close up of an apple and we have to copy the image for our project. It involves TONS of texturing. The colors are pretty easy to get but texturing it is the most difficult part. Finding the right brush, scattering, size, opacity, flow, etc... The picture in the top left corner of the image is the reference image we were given and the square below that in the center is supposed to be my painted duplicate of it.

Today I was working all class on this apple and don't feel like i got much done on it. It still looks like it needs a lot of work but Mr.Cornell showed which brushes to use and how to edit them to help with the apple. F5 to bring up those options.

Today I switched computers and it ended up taking awhile for everything to start up then i had to change computer mice. So i didnt end up getting much more done today.
